Grayish-brown with a lighter belly, large ears, and a tail as long as the body with light fuzz visible on close inspection. Droppings are small (¼", rice-grain shaped) with pointed ends, scattered rather than piled.

Cooling fall temperatures push mice toward shelter and a steady food source. They exploit gaps around utility lines, garage door corners, dryer vents, foundation cracks, and gaps where siding meets the foundation.
